Is Cathedral City Halal?
⚠️ MushboohCathedral City (Saputo Dairy UK) cheddar cheese is made using animal rennet in at least some varieties. Saputo does not hold halal certification for Cathedral City. Is Chupa Chups Halal?
❌ HaramChupa Chups (Perfetti Van Melle) are not uniformly halal. Cream-flavoured lollipops and some strawberry variants contain E120 (carmine — derived from cochineal insects, haram). Other flavours using synthetic colourings may be halal by ingredients, but the absence of halal certification and the presence of E120 in popular variants means the brand overall is haram for Muslim consumers unless a specific product is confirmed carmine-free.
