Halal Brand Guide

Popeyes chicken and other meat items are not halal-certified in the US, Canada, or UK. The Louisiana-style spiced chicken is not slaughtered according to Islamic requirements in these markets. Some UK Muslims incorrectly assume the spiced preparation signals halal sourcing — this is not the case. Popeyes is halal-certified in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and Pakistan under local authority oversight.

Quorn UK holds no halal certification. Most products contain egg white from non-halal-certified sources as a binder, and some products (such as Quorn Scotch Eggs) contain pork-derived gelatin. The mycoprotein base is halal, but the binders and lack of certification make standard Quorn Mushbooh. The Quorn Vegan range (free from egg and dairy) is considered halal by many scholars as it contains no animal-derived ingredients requiring slaughter certification.
